Just for the record EFIlive V4 supports any/all mode $04 commands. You can
program all sorts of mode $04 macros items into a macro stream.
There is examples of how to set the Air/Fuel ratio, the RPM limit, the spark
advance etc. that is in the vehicle definition files that ship with EFIlive V4
(for Commodores only).
There's the doco for it here:
http://www.starrperformance.com.au/efilivev4/doc/edit_requests.htm
Look for the heading: Mode $04 - Device control

However and here's the kicker - the commands seem to be in a different format
for different ECM's. Similar to how the ALDL data stream is different for most
ECM. I don't have any info for what format the commands should be in for US
based vehicles. I do have most of the mode $04 commands for Aussie commodores.
(VR,VS and VT)
If you guys are looking at the code and can figure out the formats and factors
for the overide commands then I know a lot of folks that are using EFIlive V4
would be happy. Currently I can only say - "well you'll have to figure that out
for yourselves".

By the way, the eval version is free and supports all mode $04 commands
Get it at http://www.starrperformance.com.au/efilivev4/downloads/index.htm

Cheers
Paul
