You've got an ECU for the $A1 ?? You should only have to raise the area of RPM vs MAP. Depending on your ECU file, you may have slewed the wrong area.

  Subject: setting idle VE

Im working with a 91 grand prix 3.1, 1227727 ECU with the A1 code. Basically, I upped the injectors 3 lbs from stock and am trying to get the idle BLMs right. I thought the idle VE table would be it, since I have changed the base VE table to give me a range of 112-125 BLM already. However, starting off with BLM of 140, i tried to raise the VE table and it only created a worse condition of 146 BLM. Going the opposite direction proved to do the same thing, 146 BLM. I decided to try taking a lot out and it kept it at 140, but in gear its at 128 BLM 128 INT.

Is there something im not aware of? I have everything else stock on the code except for the base table and now the idle table. I still have the detailed base VE tables to tweak the MAP conditions with, but I want idle perfect first.

Yes, I have read the FAQ, the tuning tips, and everything else I can find. Any suggestions?

  Ben
