A couple of guys on the Impala SS digest reported that placing a
resistor/diode circuit (resistor and diode in series; diode cathode tied to
ground, resistor tied to some positive voltage, output to PCM obtained from
diode anode/resistor junction) on the post-cat inputs (output voltage of
about 0.6-0.7 V) works just fine.
According to what I've read, the PCM just wants some sort of stable value
that's not "swinging" along with the pre-cat signal. I gotta believe that
it's tolerant of some voltage offset, given the reality of the situation (GM
doesn't like MIL events any more than we do).
