sealing an ECM ?

Have you folks heard of Conformal Coating?

It's a spray on coating (at least the one I use) that is designed to
protect a PCB from evil chemicals like spilled cola drinks, sour gas wells
and so on. I'm sure 3M makes the stuff. We use it all the time at work.

It's obvious to say that it will protect the PCB from water.

On the connectors I would also recommend a healthy dose of dielectric
grease.


Just my two cents (in Canadian funds = nothing).

PS: That Plastic Coat is nothing more than Tool Dip as far as I can tell.
And you can forget about getting it off whatever you put it on.
