[Gmecm] '747 and multi=port

does anybody have an opinion on the differences in performance between a
factory tbi system and a tpi system set up with this ECM? If i'm
interpreting this correctly, it'll control very similarly to the batch fired
TPI.
Does the 7747 have a baud rate similar to the SD TPIs (7727/7730)?
I think the use of the longer TPI runners wil increase the torqe. Seems like
a much better idea for a truck anyway.

http://www.edelbrock.com/automotive/index.html, look for "Multi-point fuel
injection", then look for "Multi-Point Fuel Injection for '87-95
TBI-Equipped Chevys"

This is great to know, as I was thinking about using bank fire multiport
injectors on my next build, a 350. I can't use Edelbrock's PROM, just modify
the one I already have. But if I could get their wiring harness for the
injectors it would save a bunch of work.

Yes. Check out their online catalog. Edelbrock provides a new PROM. I had to
toss it since the PROM did not accommodate the increased stroke (383 vs.
350) or different cam. Easy to install (I had the engine out on a stand).
Very good performance. Still tweaking, this is my first modified EFI.

Thanks.
Did that setup come from Edelbrock? I mean, connecting the injectors to the
'747?

David,
My 91 GMC pickup was originally TBI w/ 1227747. I installed
an Edelbrock multi-port injection sytem on top of an HT383
engine. The Edelbrock uses the '747 to bank-fire the
injectors. I'm 99% sure the injectors are wired in parallel
in 2 groups of 4. Pretty slick setup.

I seem to recall reading in past documents and messages

that a 1227747

can run multi-port injection in bank-fire mode.

Is this true? If so, should each bank of injectors be wired

in series,

or parallel? (I once had a dual 2-bbl TBI setup on a crossfire, and
those injectors had to be wired in series. They would not

fire at all

in parallel.)
