[Gmecm] computer swap

I have an '89 Chevy 350 with a 1228746 comp. and an ATCR memcal. I found a 1227747 at a local yard. It has an ARJT memcal. The 8746 in there now is bad. Can I do a straight swap for these two or do I need a different chip and what chip? Or how would I find this out? Will the eprom be an issue as well? I'm obviously new and would appreciate any help, thanks.
