[Gmecm] Going DIS

Just so happens I've been working on the very same module.
The pinouts are as follows. Looking at the module with the coils at the
top and the two connectors at the bottom.
>From left tp right, the small connector is first with two pins.

1 pin is a (large pin) _12v from ignition sw
2 is com (small pin)

The next conn to right 6-pins (all same size)

1 com
2 7x from crank sensor
3 7x ref to ECM
4 ign control from ECM coil "A"
5 ign control from ECM coil "B"
6 com

Not sure of your application but if you are trying to devise your own
system you will need to provide some additional logic.
The crank sensor input is fed to the ECM and the ECM provides the logic
to fire the individual coils. Also this is a waste spark module.
I've set this module up on the bench by providing 12v and 5v on the
control pins for each coil. Another hint is that the logic fires the
coil on negative transition (5v to com).
As far as I can tell the 7x ref goes directly to ECM.

Subject: [Gmecm] Going DIS

I just got a new DIS 4 Cyl ignition module AC DELCO D1900C, it has 2
connectors (2 pins and 6 pins) as per the FTP imagines it should have
the crank sensor connector beneath the module but it doesn't.
Does anybody have the pinout for this module.
Thanks
F
