I don't know if anyone answered this already, but I didn't see any
followups.  There isn't any software that I know of that uses the .ds
files directly.  What you can do with the .ds files is use one of the
freeby scantool programs out there where you have to provide the
definition of the data stream.  The .ds has that definition, so the
freebie tools should be capable of working virtually any pre OBD2 GM
computer out there.
