[Gmecm] Olle and the pre heater

Olle, 
GM called those preheater grids EFEs, Early Fuel
Evaporation grids.  There are two reasons you don't
want to use them:
1.  They offer a considerable restriction to airflow.
2.  They are famous for crumbling and then going
through your engine.  I've never heard of them doing
harm as they pass through the valves etc, but why
bother?

I didn't know the 455 was on ethanol.  Why?  Is it
cheaper than gas, or just the environmental reasons?
