If you have the VSS on the transmission and the DRAC under the dash you can run some of the later model speedometers. Most up to about 1995 use the same signal. You may simply have a VSS going out or a bad connection. The ECM only recieves a VSS signal, nothing comes out. I have a Cluster out of a 1994 Chevy Truck ready to go into mine. Whatever your cluster choice, it needs to fit within the confines of your dash and it is best if it is rectangular. I am assuming you have one big opening like I converted my 1983 to.

about replacing my whole cluster from my 1990 Chevy G20 van 5.7L TBI L05

cadillac escalade or newer chevy tahoe etc. is this an easy mod to do and
will my ECM be able to still control this new cluster is this easy to do or
a nightmare of rewireing different resistors etc

thanks
