[Gmecm] MEMCAL programming

Good Morning and pardon me for probably asking a question on a subject that
has been covered but I am new to he group.

I race an Olds Quad 4 powered Midget, we run the more or less stock 2.3L HO
motors with only some minor tuning mostly to accommodate running Ethanol. We
run all the stock engine sensors, stock fuel pressure regulator etc. The
biggest change is we run 35 PPH nozzles and a re-programmed ECU. For the
sake of fairness and interchangeability we all run ECU #16156450. I have 2
spares plus the one in the car.

My understanding is that Oldsmobile Motor sports developed the programming
on the fly at a race called the Chili bowl in Oklahoma.
I am trying to make duplicate MEMCALs using a pocket programmer 2 and any
spare MEMCALs I can find. The EPROM is a 27C256. So far I have succeeded in
blanking out the programming on 2 of them but cannot load the program from
my racecar. The thing that puzzles me is that the MEMCAL in my racecar has
a 27C256 that is UV erasable, all the others don?t have the window and the
one with the window does not look like it was grafted in. The part number of
the MEMCAL with the window is 68767 9120 I assumed the others were EEPROM?
s. Am I missing the boat here?

While I?m at it, does anyone know how to turn the raw data into tables that
can be read and manipulated?

Thanks
