[Gmecm] EST on a 250 Chev inline 6cyl

I'm starting another post so Aphelion79 can sort through his info easier. Several of you have reccomended using a 7 pin module inside the 250 inline 6 cyl distributor for est. Unless I can find a Dist in the wrecking yard with est already on it this will not work. This distributor is designed differently from a 4.3 or 5.7L. The current 4 pin module is almost touching everything inside. In fact I just had to change it out because my truck died, and it was a very tight squeeze to get out.

Another issue is dwell. The 6 cyl is supposed to have 36 deg of dwell. the V8 has 32 degrees. Wrong module and the truck just won't run right.

I've already done the research, and unless I find a 6 cyl with est, externally mounted the module will go. It will just be easier that way. And you can still wire up the coil for est with an external module.

One thing you guys can argue about though and post info on is the Spark Reference Angle - Base Timing. (AKA throwing a est distributor on the 1227748). Every ecm needs to know where the engine is to know when to fire the injector and control timing. What would happen if the injector and coil was fired 60.5 degrees out of time? I ask this because that is where base timing is set at in the proms for the 1227748 ecm. PS I'm not asking for me to know because I already do. I'll post it Saturday.
