www.700r4.com is a pretty decent source of information, they also have the
parts.

When I converted my 82 caprice to a 700r4 I used a brake switch and a manual
switch on the dash for lock up. Works really nice. This car originally was
a diesel with a 2004r, and still has a switch on the throttle pedal for the
TCC. Still haven't hooked it up to see if it works, or how it works.

Usually I'll let the car warm up to temperature before activating the TCC.
Due to valving the TCC cannot lock in 1st, and seems to be over 20 in 2nd
the TCC locks, then anytime in 3rd or 4th. I sort of like it for driving
around in town, can be driving 25mph in 3rd with the tcc locked turning 800
rpm, or 35mph in 4th turning 900 rpm.

My set up doesn't use a relay, although most schematics/kits use one. No
problems in over a year.

This summer I'll be swapping to a 305 chevy and another 700r4, will probably
redo the TCC control to be a little more automatic. Would at least want a
throttle switch of some kind. The current engine is an Olds 350 that really
likes being "lugged down" The 305 as planned, doubt it.

Jason.
