Hi there!

When I added a AC AFS-74 3-wire heated O2 sensor to my truck, I think it 
came out to about 1 amp for heater current draw.  I am powering it on 
the same circuit as the ignition coil (with an additional external 
fuse).  It is okay to always power the sensor when the ignition is on, 
though there's certainly nothing wrong with  some interesting control 
system :)
