In hindsight I should have because of this. I've never had trouble before,
and wasn't up for the hassle and expense of running high pressure lines all
over the place. My existing setup uses rubber hose from the tank to the
pump.

I went to a junk yard and picked up a filter from a late 80's ford
thunderbird and used that. When you had the tank down why didnt you just put
in a pump for TBI? The filter has to go after the pump. It has to have 9psi
to work on a TBI system.
