[Gmecm] Off topic - rear main seal packing

  THANK YOU That is just what I needed.  Will call around and see what I can 
find.  This engine has leaked slightly from the rear seal since it was new. 
When the car was new, GM said they would install a reman engine to fix this 
leak.  My dad said he would live with the leak instead of having his car 
dismantled to this degree when it was new.
  Good move; this engine lasted 370,000 miles before it needed any major 
service.  The intake gaskets leaked water into #5 so I pulled it down for a 
rebuild.
