For 36 LED display: try this connection (4 wires).  Bruce Roe

DIY-WB unit connection to LED Display.
WB   LED     Name
J11     7      BAT (12 volt)
J12     2      GRD
 J8     10     VOUT
 J9      3      VREF

The LED Display has a very high input impedance, and
won't load down the WB output signal.
