 He has an ME in aeronautical engineering, though.  And more to the
point, he's been making his living building racing engines since the
1960s, and making his opinions known in the monthly columns he writes
for various magazines.  Mostly British, though you see him sometimes in
US mags, mainly PHR.

 Jacobs, on the other hand, appears to be mainly a high pressure
salesman.
