Regarding the Adobe PDF viewer:

They (Adobe) released a new version of AcroWeb within the last week. If you
have the earlier version (December 95 I think) you should get the updated
version. I had problems with the old version crashing on some valid PDF files,
and the new version was able to read them, just fine.
