Multispark stuff and other thoughts

With all the talk about multispark....Is there any difference between 
aftermarket coils.  The LITTLE MSD coils have a LITTLE price, the BIG Jacobs and
Mallory coils have a BIG price.  Is there any difference other than $/size.

The MSD has a warning about the high voltage out of the box.  Does this make 
difference between coils have more or less of an affect on spark?
