Greetings all. I'm using an Electromotive TEC-II system on my 454 Chevy.
It works great. Very tunable, easy to get up and running, and extremely
well built. I've had it for about 5-6 months and have had no problems.
Had to wire up my own harness, but that should be no problem for anybody
with even basic soldering skills.
The software is the best part - you probably know this already but I'll
mention it anyway - the Electromotive unit is based on a
thermodynamically linear system. No silly look-up tables like the
Haltech or DFI, just set two initial values (IOT and TOG) and your engine
will run reasonably well. The crank trigger system is great - they use
some kind of ASIC they call a 'HREIC' chip (High Resolution Electronic
Ignition Controller). It apparently does all the calculations for engine
position, speed, and acceleration in hardware.
One thing to note - if you do call, ask to speak to Fred. There's
another guy there named Jim and well, I'll say he's a bit irritating and
leave it at that. Fred will take the time to intelligently answer your
questions; at least he did for me...

Hi guys, this is my first post and I think this is a great list. I am
converting a Honda 600cc CBR F1 engine to fuel injection for a formula
SAE
car. We are thinking about using the electromotive fuel injection system
because it seems to be as adjustable as we need. I was wondering if any
of
you have any experience with this system or company. Any tips and
opinions
are welcome. Thanks,
