Fuel pump questions

I have been watching this thread with some interest and was wondering if
anybody had considered what happens to the fuel pressure at the fuel pump
outlet and the pressure regulator outlet while the car is accelerating and
braking at its maximum. It seems to me that the pressure change at the
output of the regulator would be far greater than any change you would get
by moving the position of the return line in the fuel tank.
