EFI ignition pickup

  an ignition coil i get lots of spurious pulses. Anyone have any ideas
  for a general circuit that will work on any ignition system.

  This is probably just switch bounce, right? If so it can be easily dealt with 
  by any of the usual debounce methods. As for the PLL on a crank sensor I 
  assume the intention was for low pass filtering? Someone suggested an optical 
  sensor, but things tend to get pretty grimey down around the engine crankshaft 
  in a hurry...
