I now understand why the auto Scorpio w/ egr requires 87 octane and the 
5-speed with no egr requires 91.  The eec-iv on the Scorpio is MAP w/ an 
02 sensor.  If you can connect the 02 sensor and place the ecm in 
'learn' mode the ecm should be able to run the engine with no egr.
