Well, the iron heads tell me it was NOT an F-body/Corvette motor, they
ALL had aluminum heads. The removable EPROM module then tells me it is
a 93 unit, since in 94 they went to the EEPROM OBDII ECMS's. However,
I don't think there were any cars in 93 that used an LT1 engine, other
than the F/Y bodies. If there were, they would be Roadmasters,
Caprice's, Fleetwoods (B Bodies I think). This is definately true for
94+, but I don't know about before that.
So...assuming the stuffed LT1 engines into B-bodies in 93, THAT is
what I would say the engine came out of. It may be a 93 F/Y body
engine that someone put iron heads on...maybe they swapped them for
their Impala?
TTYL!
Larry
PS: Post the ID number from the block (front pass side...in front of
head) and that will tell you what year it is. Oh, does it have an
engine driven fan on it? The B-bodies had them for the HD cooling
option.

Everyone I am trying to identify the PCM and subsequently year and model for
the engine that I bought. After a conversation with fellow lister Ken, he
suggested that I post the available information to the list and see if
anyone out there can identify it.
The engine was sold to me as: '95 Camaro LT-1 with 7,000 miles. Iron
heads, nifty looking intake manifold and all electronics. Supposedly an
emissions test vehicle motor
The PCM does have four big yellow male connectors on it, but it also has a
removable EPROM module in it. Which as I understand it should not be.
So here is the info from the PCM:
> Here is the info off of my ECU.

> 86BDZL M123001070
> 16189611

So all this makes me wonder. Anyone out there care to help me identify this
engine and PCM combo? I am looking for the serial number from the top of
the intake manifold as we speak.
