Hi All,
Well until last week I have been linking to all Australian late
VR and VS PCM/ECM ecu's until this week. I hooked up the trusty laptop
to a VT (which is the latest Holden Commodore)... I think it was
released in 1997? Possibly later. Anyhow, I used the usual transmission
codes of MSG_ID, MSG_LTH, MSG_MODE, ... message... and checksum as well
as the usual theft deterrent codes present during operation. However
such codes were not discovered, nor were compatible with this type of
Vehicle. The transmission code is quite long, and continuous even during
ignition off time. The code seems to "double-time", when ignition is
turned on. I'm not quite sure if the transmission is set to 8192 nor
sure about being possible OBDII or even the normal GM protocol. Any
help?
This is what the transmission code looks like at 8192. (ignition turned
off)

and at it's double rate when ignition turned on.

Any suggestions? Right baud rate? Security Codes? Any help?

Thanx guys.
Andrew and Richard.
