Airplanes by definition, generate lift to fly.  To generate lift takes
atmosphere.
The shuttle uses thrusters in space to fly since none of the moveable
surfaces work without atmosphere.  Gravity would in theory be immaterial.
But, I've never heard of an atmosphere existing without gravity.
