It there is a window it is an eprom. Prom's don't have windows. Are
you lining up the "window" with the hole the blue light comes out of?
If you aren't it will take much longer to erase things. Also how far
away is the window from the light source, it should be about 1/2" or
less, the closer the quicker it will erase. I typically have had to
do at least 20 minutes erase a chip.
You are leaving the memcal cap off while you are erasing it right?
