I seriously doubt that people are refusing to answer your questions
because they are too basic.  If that were the case, then you'd probably
get a "read the archives" response.  I've seen a lot dumber questions
answered many a time.

A lot of us on the list are concerned with building our own systems and
not reprogramming factory ecus, so we're of little use in that regard. 
Please don't get too upset, since most of us probably don't know the
answer to your question.  The GMECM list is probably a better place to
ask.
