Looked at it but it seemed impossible, too many things in the way.

<I used to work atta shop where we installed 1600 DOHC in the 850 with a
<front mount radiator.  They were so much fun

There's still plenty of room over on the exhaust side for a turbo if the
s/c doesn't generate enough grunt.  Radiator is already in the front and
the petrol tank has also been replaced with a 500 tank mounted in the front
to try and shift a bit of weight.

By the way what gearbox did you use with the 1600 conversion ?  The
standard 850 box, with a reverse rotating engine or a VW gearbox with a
normal rotation engine (or something different) ?
