Electro-magnetic valves

Yamaha has a prototype 250 cc. with 4 (2 inlet 2 exhaust)
electromagnetic valves being dyno tested at the University of California
at Riverside. It's an interesting idea but it takes quite a control
system to manage the valves and a large (150V 30A) DC power supply. I
think there's an SAE paper on this but I can't find the reference at the
moment.
