Hello Dennis,
no idea how to retard the timing that much, but it might be a good idea to
watch the EGT. Might be very hard on exhaust valves and turbine wheel. I
would not like EGT above 850-900deg C. Add fuel to reduce the EGT.
greetings,

Betreff: easy anti-lag system
Hello world! ;)
I'm asking for help, suggestions, and etc. on how to design an anti-lag
system for my car.
I don't really want to stick anything in the exhaust manifold, like an
additional injector, and air supply, or a spark plug. I want this to be a
logic type thing only.
I have done a few minor experiments and found that with ignition timing set
35degATDC, I make 1psi of boost at idle. At 2000rpm, I make about 11psi,
where my wastegate is set to open.
I want this to work on deceleration also, similar to the systems on rally
cars.
My main problem so far, is how to delay the ignition signal that fires the
coil, 47degs of crank rotation.
(stock timing is 12deg btcd)
This car is a FWD dodge turbo that uses a hall effect sensor to trigger the
ignition. The computer then grounds the ignition coil to fire it. The
computer advances and retards timing some depending on other sensor
variables.
I am going to use a simple comparator or two on the TPS sensor to enable
this function, with a cabin mounted switch to "arm" it.
I would just buy an MSD or something to retard the timing, but they only
retard a total of 20deg for their best module, and as I said, I need 47deg
of retard.
I will also probably send the MAP sensor signal wire on this car a voltage
that corresponds to more fuel need, so that it will increase injector open
time so I get a richer mix to help "bang" up the turbine.
Any thoughts are appreciated.
TIA
Dennis
PS-how do I get off of digest mode, and get individual e-mails?
