OK, I figured out how to atone for these sometimes unavoidable
cross-postings/duplicates (which I promise to keep to a minimum :).

Atonement offering? Toss something out that'll be a broad-spectrum
goodie:

To whit...

Those of you doing diagnosing or building of surface mount boards, if
you don't have one of these, you're missing out...it's a tweezer-style
test-probe-set for your bench meter, made for grabbing/probing smd
discretes. My meter has a capacitance measurement setting, as many do
now, so I can also use this for sorting both R's & C's, but it's most
helpful on C's of course.

Anyway, Tenma is an inexpensive test equipment brand, and MCM
Electronics is running an add on them now:
			www.i-mcm.com
Part # 76-001 "SMD Test Tweezer Lead" $15.26

Newark sells these for at least a couple bucks more, but they're
usually/always outta stock on anything Tenma :(, so MCM is a better bet
anyway. Newark also has a $25 minimum, but MCM has *no* minimum on
internet orders. Oh yeah, they do have a "registration form" you have to
fill out, but it's completely painless, short, and non-intrusive.

HTH,
Gar
