NTK UEGO calibration

This begs the question about how is the DIY WB O2 unit calibrated? Looking
at the schematic the UEGO sensor's calibration resistor is used to control
Vout from the unit. I assume that the manufacturer of the UEGO has
selected an appropriate value resistor for each individual sensor. But how
can a user check this? For example to confirm that a measured AFR, say
13.0 is exactly 13.0? Has anyone who has built one of these units
confirmed proper AFR readings?
