I keep hearing of cavitation, and have actually seen it once, and that was a
screw up on my part on a 9.5K street engine that ran at 8+K for extended
periods of time.
If in your last sentence you mean pump ratio, I'll agree. The under speed
pulley kits are a disaster waiting to happen. They might get you a slight
mileage increase, but long term won't help valve life, or upper ring wear.
