Question for those who have completed DIY-WB assembly

Bending them over would just get you to .6"
There are caps that are radial, and trying to make this really compact is
going to generate problems for the less electronically inclined..  Remember
this is for the average guy, not just the EE types.  Or at least it is
intended to be.
