If you read the assembler for the DDIS project it is very well commented =
and fairly easy to work out what is going on. There is also an app note =
on the Motorola website that has code for CAS.

Subject: [Diy_efi] DDIS on DIY-EFI Page
Hi Guys,
=20
I'm a first year microelectronic engineering student and just finished a =
whole semester on the 68hc11, i bought a development board which should =
arrive mid next week to play with...
=20
The question I have is, not about the software but rather how does the =
DDIS project and many like it determine exactly where the "teeth" of the =
crank-angle sensor are at startup and the RPM etc...
=20
Could somebody tell me what kind of routine they are using to not detect =
the pulses but to decide exactly where the crank-angle sensor is etc... =
I know it sounds simple(look for the missing tooth)... How are others =
attacking this problem?
=20
Thanks
Matt Donohoe
