[Diy_efi] Display for DIY-WB

Hello again,

I would like to know if anybody has used with success a digital display 
with the DIY-WB, which I would prefer over the LEDs. I know P. Gargano 
sells a customized Jaycar one, but I would prefer to make it myself: Is 
there any equivalent of Jaycar in North America?
