Intake Pressure Control Strategies

There are some (many?) cars which use solenoid controlled bleed off of boost
signal to the wastegate to maintain desired boost levels.

Does anyone know if there are cars which use a similar strategy for a blow off
valve?  Especially a recirculating type blow off valve?

Has anyone ever toyed with this idea?  How about actually applying it?
