? What effort? You buy it and plumb it and then forget 
it. Sure at lower boost turbo outlet temps will not be 
as far above ambient as with higher boost levels, but 
heat is always a result of compression, and if there is 
technology availible to help eliminate it- which has no 
moving parts and requires almost no maintenance why not 
use it? Regardless of whether is changes boost pressure-
lower intake temps result in less chance of detonation, 
and denser intake charge which are good things wether 
you run 3 psi or 30. Yes the effect is not as 
significant, but I think any improvement is worth it. 
Intercoolers are free power.
