[Diy_efi] vortec engine piston noise?

That may be the case.  What I hear sounds just like detonation.  It
happens when the engine is warm, like detonation, and under load, like
detonation.  I don't hear it at cruise, but if I give it a little gas to
change lanes there it is.  It's not a regular tap or clank like a
bearing.  The only thing the service manager is capable of telling me is
"GM hasn't determined a fix yet".  They tell me it's piston noise, but
they did go ahead and replace the knock sensors, telling me that they
don't what it is or how to fix it.  My spark plug guy (thanks Bruce)
says there's no sign of detonation on the plugs which makes me feel
better about it but I still want to know exactly what's going on.
