Hi!
I'll say what I know about kerosene engines:
I don't know if you'll be able to start from a winter cold engine. I have a=
n=20
old farm tractor who works with kerosene (carb'ed of course, it's an IH=20
=46armall A), but for starting, it has a small gasoline tank and a switch=20
valve, so you start with gasoline then switch over to kerosene. The singula=
r=20
part is that the intake manifold is highly heated to promote the kerosene=20
vaporization. The heating is provided from the exhaust manifold... well,=20
there is really one manifold, because the intake and exhaust manifolds are=
=20
one! You can realise the kind of heating kerosene needs.
I guess that injected the need for heating will be less, but still a=20
significant factor.
