[Diy_efi] Turbos - spooling etc

Fellas,
    A crazy thought just occurred to me - does anyone know if the 
following has been tried, and if so with what results:
If a compressed air bottle was plumbed into the exhaust manifold 
(pre-turbo) through an electronically controlled valve arranged to give 
a (short) injection of HP air into the manifold when the WOT switch is 
hit, it should help spool the turbo quickly and give a (false) lean 
indication on the lambda sensor which should result in a brief 
enrichment - Rats, just remembered - the Lambda is ignored at WOT - Just 
a wild thought from someone with no direct experience playing with turbos.
