[Diy_efi] OBD2 List?

Are there any lists out there that specifically discus obd-2 ECUs and
protocols?

The source code of one of the obd-2 logger programs has been released, and
although I'll probably fail miserably, I'd like to try and take advantage of
it. An LED display that switches between timing, coolant temp, etc. would be
pretty cool. I need to learn about microprocessors as well, so I figure its
killing 2 birds with one stone...

Any advice on what chip to use and where to begin would be helpfull :)
