If anything adding the map hoseshould make you run LEANER not richer
By connecting do you mean the hose or the connector? If connector make sure 
it's wired correctly, A= GND(BLK) B=5V(GRY) C=MAP_SIG(GRN) If B and C are 
mixed up it might cause this condition. If it's the hose, make sure it is 
the corrrect map. The "hot stamp" number on the MAP should end in "460" or 
"039". Otherwise you may need a new MAP
