A two foot length of 1/8 inch tube should be enough to protect a sensor.
Using a GM 3-Bar MAP sensor might work if you made a small chamber to
average the pulses out.
The hot exhaust gases should not reach the sensor as there should not be any
air movement inside the tube.
Filtering could also be done using software.
On some of the 90's Fords, they had a sensor that monitored the exhasust
pressure. I believe it has something to do with the EGR system.....Tim.
