ITYM "Lambda".

A search of the Cadillac website shows no hits for the
word "lambda".
<http://www.cadillac.com/Scripts/SearchServer.exe?method=mainQuery&db0=Cadillac_all&query=lambda&numresults=100&querythreshold=10&batchhits=10&refresh=refresh&QuerySummaryCB=querysummary&_search.x=31&_search.y=9>

Compare this to the Lambda Sonde listing on hundreds
of thousands of Volvos, and the use of the term
"lambda sensor" by Bosch to refer to the millions of
vehicles equipped with the LE2-Jetronic system.

Please re-read the list I posted, then.

I simply refuted your point. I never stated that no
racing vehicles used anything but EFI.

You said a great number of inaccurate things in your
post. I was correcting them.

You're confused. Nothing I said was sarcastic. You
posted inaccuracies, and I pointed them out.

I never said anything of the sort. I stated you could
not determine AFR from EGT alone, and that is true.
You had stated otherwise, and that is wrong.

I gather you mean you MEANT to imply otherwise.
However, you stated outright that EGT could be used to
compute AFR, and that it cannot.

And that is wrong as well. EGT is a function of AFR,
spark timing, cam timing, compression ratio, fuel
used, mixture quality... You can run a leaner mixture
and have lower EGTs. I see it all the time.

How often do you use EGT sensors for tuning?
Hopefully not a lot, as you're pretty much bound to
blow up a few motors at some point going on the
assumptions you have regarding EGT.
