Steve, you asked what size FITTING was used on the AIR system.
My answer reflects that. If you meant/wanted the size of the tubing,
stating that, would have been helpful. Didn't know AIR was BELT
driven. The ones I am aware of are electric.

Mine aren't nearly 7/8. As Mike said, they're more like 3/8" or 1/4" SS
tubing with what looks like a flare nut, but until it comes off I don't
know if it's inverted flare or what.
By the way, if you're interested in removing the AIR pump from a Chevy
4.3/5.0/5.7 but don't think you can because the belt would interfere
with itself, there's an article on thirdgen.org that shows a different
routing with a slightly longer belt that works great.
When I get the tubes out I'll post a picture of what they look like.
