[Diy_efi] EGT

As a lurker I've been impressed with the high quality of both the questions
and answers presented here.

I haven't seen a discussion of Exhaust Gas Temperature and its possible use
in tuning/protecting engines.

I have an AEM aftermarket computer on a MKIV Supra.  I can monitor EGT at
the inlet to the Turbo (Yes, a single SP58 upgrade).

Do you have any thoughts on a max temp that I should be limiting here so I
don't burn pistons or valves?
