Correct mapping for Camshafts

i had the same problem in my 89chevy truck, didn't make power til about
3000 rpm
called comp cams cam help  1-800-999-0853. they informed that my crank
had
4 degrees retard ground in from the factory. i bought one of their
timing sets that
has double roller chain and triple indexed crank sprocket, degreed the
cam and
the power band came down to where it should be
